PHP Development Company in Navi Mumbai
PHP is the server-side language behind most business web software. The Adroit builds it from a head office in Navi Mumbai for companies that run on stock, orders, invoices and dealers: portals, ERP and Tally integrations, GST e-invoicing and admin back-offices.
This page covers what we build for Navi Mumbai and MIDC-belt businesses, how a day-to-day operation becomes software, how it connects to your accounts system, and how a rollout is phased. Cost is quoted after discovery, never guessed from a page.
The Adroit is a PHP development company with its head office in Navi Mumbai. We build custom PHP software for operations-heavy businesses: dealer and distributor portals, inventory and warehouse tools, ERP and Tally integrations, GST e-invoice and e-way bill workflows, and admin back-offices. Work is scoped after discovery, built on a supported PHP 8.x release and reported to you monthly.
Who we build for
What do Navi Mumbai businesses actually use PHP for?
Navi Mumbai's business map is mostly operational: factories and chemical units in the MIDC belt, warehouses and freight forwarders serving the JNPT (Nhava Sheva) port, pharma and healthcare suppliers, builders and real-estate firms around Vashi, Belapur and Kharghar, and schools and colleges across the nodes. The software these firms ask for is rarely a brochure site. It is the system that sits between the shop floor, the accounts team and the customer.
PHP suits this work for plain reasons. It runs on inexpensive, widely available hosting, its main frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter) are mature, and almost every accounting, payment and logistics tool exposes a web API that PHP talks to easily. For a business that wants a portal or back-office running on its own data rather than a per-user subscription, that is a practical fit.
Our engineering team works from the head office in Navi Mumbai and builds for customers wherever they are. If you want the wider picture of what PHP development involves, our PHP development services overview covers frameworks, security and testing; this page stays with the operations side.

Workflow to software
How does a day-to-day operation turn into PHP modules?
Discovery starts from what happens on the ground, not from a feature list. Each habit below usually maps to one module of a single PHP application, and each module has a clear counterpart it must stay in step with. Writing this table for your own business is the first deliverable of a project.
| Operation today | Software module | What PHP handles | Usually connects to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dealers phone or message in their orders | Dealer / distributor portal | Login per dealer, own price list, credit-limit and outstanding checks, order history | Tally or ERP for stock and ledgers |
| Stock is counted on paper at the godown | Inventory and warehouse system | Batch and location tracking, goods-in, pick lists, reorder alerts | Barcode / QR scanners, ERP |
| Invoices are typed twice, once for GST | GST invoicing module | Invoice creation, e-invoice (IRN) and e-way bill requests, credit notes | Government e-invoice and e-way bill APIs, accounts |
| Quotes go out as PDF attachments | B2B ordering and quotations | Catalogue, quote approvals, repeat orders, order status | CRM, payment gateway |
| Patients, students or tenants queue at a desk | Appointments, admissions or bookings | Forms, slots, document upload, fee collection, reminders | SMS / email providers, payment gateway |
| Management asks for numbers on request | Dashboards and MIS reports | Scheduled queries, filtered exports, role-restricted views | ERP, accounting data |
| Staff pass one Excel file around | Admin back-office | Role-based access, approval steps, audit trail of who changed what | Your existing database |
| Delivery status is chased by phone | Dispatch and delivery tracking | Dispatch notes, status updates, proof-of-delivery upload | Transport partner APIs, SMS |

Integration map
Which systems can the PHP application connect to?
A new application should not ask your team to retype what your accounts or ERP system already holds. We treat Tally, SAP and Zoho as integration targets: the PHP application reads and writes through the route each one supports, and your existing system stays the system of record. The exact route is confirmed in discovery.
Typical routes per target
- Tally: its XML-over-HTTP interface, or scheduled import and export files, depending on version and setup.
- SAP: APIs or a middleware layer, depending on your edition and licence.
- Zoho: REST APIs with token-based authorisation.
- GST systems: the official e-invoice and e-way bill APIs, directly or through an authorised provider.
- Payments and messaging: gateway, SMS and WhatsApp Business providers through their APIs.
- Barcode and QR: keyboard-style scanners or the phone camera in the browser.
GST workflows
How do e-invoicing and e-way bills fit into a PHP system?
For many Navi Mumbai manufacturers, traders and transporters, the invoice is where software earns its keep. Instead of creating an invoice in one tool and keying it into a government portal in another, the PHP application builds the invoice data once, validates it, submits it for e-invoicing, stores the returned Invoice Reference Number and signed QR code, and prepares an e-way bill when goods move.
Because these calls depend on an outside service, they run as queued jobs with retries and a visible status, so a slow response never loses an invoice or blocks the billing desk. Credit notes, cancellations and failed submissions get the same treatment, and every attempt is written to the audit log.
Applicability thresholds, formats and API access rules change over time. We build to the specification in force when the work is done, and we ask you to confirm what applies to your turnover and goods with your chartered accountant. This is a technical build, not tax advice.
Invoice created
Sales order, party, tax lines and totals are validated before anything is sent.
Submitted to the e-invoice system
The job sends the invoice data and waits for the response.
IRN and signed QR stored
The reference and QR code are saved on the invoice and printed on the PDF.
E-way bill prepared
Where goods are moving, transport details are added and the bill is requested.
Posted to accounts
The finished invoice is pushed to Tally or your ERP, with failures flagged.
Build vs buy
Should you buy ready-made software or build custom PHP?
Both are legitimate, and we will say so in discovery if a product fits you better than a build would. Use the questions below; the column with more of your answers is the likelier fit. Many firms land on a hybrid: keep the accounting package, build the portal and workflow around it. For sites and portals that do not need custom PHP, see our web development services.
| Question to ask | Points to buying | Points to building |
|---|---|---|
| Is the process standard for your industry? | A product already covers most of it | Your dealer rules, pricing or approvals are what set you apart |
| How many tools must behave as one? | One or two, with ready-made connectors | Several, or an older system with no connector |
| How do users grow over three years? | A few users, a flat subscription is fine | Many dealers or staff, so per-user fees climb |
| Who owns the data and the logic? | The vendor hosts both, which is acceptable | You want it on your own server, with your own rules |
| How fast must it be live? | Weeks, using a product as it is | A phased build is acceptable for a closer fit |
| What happens when the process changes? | You adapt the process to the product | You change the software to follow the process |
Buy
Standard process, small team, no unusual rules. Spend the effort on set-up and training, not code.
Hybrid
Keep the ledger or ERP you trust. Build the dealer portal, warehouse screens and reports that connect to it.
Build
The workflow is your edge, or the tools cannot be made to agree. Own the logic and the data.
- Standard process?
- How many tools?
- Users in 3 years?
- Who owns data?
- How fast live?
- When process changes?
Stack choices
Which PHP version should an operations system run on in 2026?
A dealer portal or warehouse system is not rebuilt every two years, so the supported lifetime of the PHP version matters more than novelty. We start new builds on PHP 8.4 or 8.5 and pick the framework, usually Laravel, in discovery. Laravel 13, released 17 March 2026, requires PHP 8.3 to 8.5 and gets security fixes until 17 March 2028.
Older systems are common. W3Techs (checked Oct 2026) shows PHP 8.x on 64.4% of PHP sites, PHP 7.x on 27.8% and PHP 5.x on 7.8%, so roughly 36% still run on versions that no longer get security fixes. An in-house tool written years ago on PHP 7 is not unusual, and it can be upgraded in steps without stopping the business.
Dates below come from php.net/supported-versions.php and laravel.com/docs/releases, both checked Oct 2026. Re-check before you commit to a date; support windows are published by the PHP project, not by us.
- PHP 8.x: 64.4% of PHP sites
- PHP 7.x: 27.8%
- PHP 5.x: 7.8%
| PHP version | Security fixes until | Our guidance for an operations system |
|---|---|---|
| PHP 8.1 and older | Ended | End of life Plan an upgrade now; an exposed portal with no security fixes is the main risk. |
| PHP 8.2 | 31 Dec 2026 | Security only Acceptable for a short bridge, not a target for a new build. |
| PHP 8.3 | 31 Dec 2027 | Security only Fits a current system that cannot move yet; Laravel 13 still runs on it. |
| PHP 8.4 | 31 Dec 2028 | Recommended Active support runs to 31 Dec 2026; a sound pick for systems going live soon. |
| PHP 8.5 | 31 Dec 2029 | Recommended Released 20 Nov 2025, active support to 31 Dec 2027; the longest runway for a system meant to last. |

Rollout phases
How is a PHP rollout phased for a working business?
A system that people depend on all day should never switch on in one go. We phase the work so a small group finds the gaps first. The durations below are typical ranges that vary with scope: a focused portal or back-office is commonly 8-14 weeks end to end, and multi-site, ERP-connected systems often run longer. A fixed timeline is agreed in the proposal after discovery.
Walk-through and discovery
Map the process, forms, reports and integrations. Output: a written scope and wireframes.
Typically 1-3 weeksCore build
Master data, user roles and the main workflows, demoed in short milestones.
Typically 4-8 weeksIntegrations
Connect Tally, ERP, GST, payment and messaging services, with retries and error screens.
With phase 2Pilot
One team, warehouse or dealer group runs it beside the old process.
Typically 2-4 weeksCutover and training
Data migration, switch-over and user training, with a written hand-over.
Scope-dependentSupport and review
Fixes, upgrades and a monthly progress report on what changed.
OngoingEngagement models
Which engagement model suits which kind of project?
The model describes how work and risk are shared, not the quality of the work. Terms, notice and what is included are agreed in the proposal.
A defined deliverable
A fixed-scope project prices a written list of features for a set delivery plan. It fits a dealer portal or invoicing module whose rules are already clear.
Changes outside the list are handled as a separate, agreed change.
Scope that will evolve
You pay for the effort used, within an agreed working plan. It fits a process still being discovered, or a system where requests arrive as the team starts using it.
It gives flexibility; you review progress against the plan each month.
A continuing roadmap
Engineers work on your product over many months as an extension of your team. It fits a multi-module platform that keeps growing after launch.
It suits companies that already have someone to own priorities.
Working with the head office
How does a project run with the engineering team at the head office?
Our PHP engineering team works from the head office in Navi Mumbai, with teams in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi. For most projects, whether your office is in Vashi, Airoli or Panvel, that does not change how work runs: discovery workshops, demos and reviews happen over calls and screen shares, with decisions recorded in writing. You get a monthly progress report covering what was delivered and what is next.
Hand-over is part of the plan: set-up notes and a short guide for your administrators, so the system is not locked inside one person's head. What is handed over, including source access, is written into the proposal.
If your business has sites in Mumbai or New Delhi, the same team can serve all of them; see our PHP development in Mumbai and PHP development across India pages for how that works.

Questions
FAQs
Our head office is in Navi Mumbai, and our PHP engineering team works from there, with other teams in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi. Whether your office is in Vashi, Belapur, Kharghar, Airoli or Panvel, projects run over calls, screen shares and demos, with scope and decisions shared in writing and a monthly progress report. Nothing in the process depends on travel, and any in-person meeting would be agreed with you separately.
Most requests are operational rather than promotional: a dealer or distributor ordering portal, an inventory or warehouse system with batch and location tracking, a GST invoicing module, a dispatch tracker, or a management dashboard fed from the accounts system. These are usually built as one PHP application with role-based access, so sales, stores and accounts see only their own screens, then connected to the tools the company already uses instead of replacing them.
In most cases, yes. Tally is usually reached through its XML-over-HTTP interface or scheduled import and export files, SAP through its APIs or a middleware layer depending on edition and licence, and Zoho through its REST APIs. We confirm the exact route in discovery, because it depends on your version, hosting and who owns the data. The PHP application then reads or writes orders, stock and ledgers without anyone retyping them.
Yes. A PHP application can build the invoice data, submit it to the government e-invoice system, store the returned Invoice Reference Number (IRN) and signed QR code on the invoice, and request an e-way bill when goods move. Access is usually through the official APIs, directly or via an authorised provider. Thresholds and formats change, so confirm what applies to your turnover with your chartered accountant; we build to the current specification.
Buy when your process is standard and a product already fits most of it, because you get updates and support without a build. Build when your dealer rules, pricing, approvals or warehouse flow are what set you apart, when several tools must behave as one, or when per-user licence fees grow faster than the value. Many firms do both: keep the accounting package and build the portal and workflow around it.
A typical portal has a login per dealer, a catalogue with each dealer's own price list, credit-limit and outstanding checks, order placement, order history and downloadable invoices. In PHP this is usually a Laravel or similar application on a MySQL or PostgreSQL database, with queued jobs that pass orders to the ERP and role-based permissions for your sales team. Scope is fixed in discovery by listing exactly which price, credit and approval rules the portal must enforce.
Yes. Most USB and Bluetooth scanners behave like a keyboard, so a PHP web application can accept scans directly in a form, and phones can scan through the browser camera. The application then looks up the item, batch or location, updates stock in a single database transaction and logs who scanned what. Rugged handheld devices also work if they can run a browser. Label design and printing are scoped separately.
Cost follows scope, not the language. The main drivers are the number of user roles and screens, how many systems must be integrated (Tally, SAP, Zoho, GST, payment, messaging), data migration from spreadsheets or an old system, reporting needs, hosting and security requirements, and how many sites or dealer groups go live at once. We quote after discovery, once these are written down, so the figure matches a defined scope.
Fairly urgent. PHP 8.1 and older no longer receive security fixes, and W3Techs (checked Oct 2026) shows about 36% of PHP sites still on PHP 7 or 5. The usual path is incremental: audit dependencies with Composer, add tests around the stock and money paths, upgrade in steps to a supported 8.x release, and keep the system running meanwhile. Landing on PHP 8.4 or 8.5 also reopens current framework versions.
Timelines depend on scope, but a focused portal or back-office is commonly 8 to 14 weeks, and ERP-connected, multi-site systems often take longer. We roll out in phases: discovery, core build, integrations, a pilot with one team or warehouse running beside the old process, then cutover and training. Phasing lets a small group find process gaps before everyone depends on the system.
